Gauger + Associates began work for the Royal Thai Government consulting with the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, where we presented case studies and strategies for launching natural and organic products in the US. This was followed by three days of “Shark Tank” style presentations by Thai companies. We provided critiques and advice on product positioning, messaging and branding. Upon returning to California, zoom calls and individual consultations, assisting these companies with repositioning and branding took place over the next two years.
A plan was developed to introduce product innovations from Thailand to American manufacturers and retailers by bringing the visuals, tastes, and aromas of this exotic culture to life. Product categories included snacks, epicurean foods, skin care, and unique ingredients.
In 2020 we designed and nearly completed the installation of a 10-stall booth, which included a massive video wall, when we learned that Natural Products Expo West was canceled due to COVID. Everything was packed up on pallets and stored for two years.
In 2021 we created a virtual trade show booth online, email marketing program, and an electronic brochure featuring ten innovative companies and over 100 products.
At Expo West 2022 the vision was finally realized. We designed a 1,000-foot booth where a dozen Thai companies were introduced to the media and attendees eager to find new products and resources overseas.
