Shea Homes wasn’t the first to brand smart home technology, but they were driven to be the best. Gauger + Associates took on the task of branding and communicating the sophisticated range of Shea’s home automation features to prospective homebuyers. The interface of both smart phone apps and Amazon Alexa technology were merged.
Because the program was being rolled out nationwide, and would include both the family home divisions, as well as the Trilogy active adult communities, it needed the flexibility to be modified to meet both varying consumer and market demands. A tool kit of imagery and messaging was formulated for application across markets under the umbrella theme – “Once you’ve lived with it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it”.
The Agency developed branding and a system of iconography to simply communicate the features and benefits in an easy, at a glance way. A variety of tools were created by the Gauger Team, including videos, collateral material, signage and interactive Amazon Echo Show 5 displays for the sales offices and model homes. Touch screen interaction with the Echo Show 5 interface allows visitors to see and hear the various SheaConnect features in action.
